About the position

We at Perido are now looking for an archivist for one of our clients, an important authority whose mission is to focus on development. The position is located at the authority's office in Stockholm.

Your responsibilities

Describe the role and responsibilities, in sentences and/or bullet points.

  • Disclosure of public records (retrieve texts, images, and data files based on requests, extraction and disclosure of information from physical archives, historical collections, or databases)
  • Develop information management plan
  • Develop policy documents within the responsibility area (retention and preservation plan, application decisions)
  • Participate in the registry when needed
  • Participate in information classifications
  • Participate in setting requirements for a new diary system
  • Assist with questions regarding the authority's diary system (Platina)
  • Organize and list archives
  • Produce archive reporting
  • Make assessments regarding the content of documents for what must be preserved and what can be removed
  • Dispose of records, and how documents should be stored
  • Participate in the establishment of guidelines and policy documents for internal archiving work

Your qualities

To succeed in this role as an archivist, we prefer that you are meticulous and structured in your way of working, possess the ability to work independently and dare to take your own initiatives. You have good knowledge of how an archive is structured and how it should be handled to comply with laws on transparency and confidentiality. With a knack for administrative work, you take the initiative and tackle the tasks that need to be done. Finally, we see that you have a professional approach, are attentive, and humble.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent education and at least one (1) year of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, at least three (3) years of work experience as an archivist
  • Practical experience in public administration
  • Knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
  • Knowledge of document and case management systems (such as Public360, W3D3, Platina, Iipax One Visual Archive, etc.)
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations governing public administration and the function and responsibilities of archivists
  • Knowledge of standards like OAIS, METS, PREMIS, PAIMAS
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

Scope and entry

Full-time, consultancy assignment for 6 months. Starting in January.
